Must.... Own....property....

I can think of least a dozen derelict and abandoned site on the southside that have been that way for more than a couple of years. Cork City Council doesn't even collect the levies on the derelict sites. They just love wasting money

In fairness, you look like a bit of a tinker alright.

(Catch ye in 2 months time after that Ban-halla comment)

:lol!: :lol!:

Fed driving around in the gold Bentley with the Snoop Dogg diamond encrusted cane was a bit of a giveaway alright
A battered old banger and a limping leg more like.

Never ever show that you're worth more than you should be as it draws attention from the guards HonkY.

Also, always leave the phone at home MangeY M8.

I've explained all this to you before like.

One of my new favourite things is trying to find a builder/building company to give them an extortionate amount of money.

I did a lot of the renovation work on my old house myself. There's a lot that I can do, there's a lot that I can't and there's a few things that I thought that I could definitely do and discovered, to my chagrin, that I definitely should not do. Plumbing is not just Water Lego for example.

Anyway. I have one more job to do on my gaff - it's not a huge job but it's not small either and involves blowing out a new doorway, knock through into the garage, fitting a steel head, etc.

And also moving some gas pipes. I learned my lesson with a water pipe so I don't fancy doing having a Deepwater Horizon situation in my 3-bed semi.

I've spent around 2 months ringing builders to take on this job some gave me a straight no over the phone, some never even appear at my house to look at the job. One of them - Sigma Homes maybe? - said that they won't take on anything renovation-wise for less than €250K.

One contractor - after spending 45 minutes going over the job/drawing (whilst drinking my good coffee with 4 sugars in it) ended up quoting us €140K to €150K - then in the same breath said "but it's not worth my while" and suggested maybe finding "a few Eastern Europeans to do the heavy work".

Roll on the crash, lads.

Sounds about right. had major lols trying to get an electrician to do a job that would literally have taken him 15 mins. Eventually got a local fella who was recommended through a guy. Its like the mafia trying to get tradespeople nowadays.
