MOAR teacher bullshit #162,547

So to keep their own pay structures the teachers voted to cut the income of incoming graduates ... then cry inequality a few years later despite the fact that they voted to put the structures in place.

Imagine starting on 35k for 8 months work per annum ... and you cant be fired for being shit at your job. ........ . . ..

My vote would be to reduce existing pay structures to align with incoming graduates pay structures. The backtracking would be comical.

Any teachers on the board? lets have it ... sher you've fuck all to do this week anyway ... or sorry --- you're preparing for next week's classes?:oops::oops:

TBF they didn't. However, there was certainly no screaming objections to the plan or serious threats of industrial unrest, or any offers that all teachers take a small % cut rather than let their new colleagues take a hammering.

At the end of the day, the existing membership threw the new graduates under a bus in order that the could retain more of the benchmarking goodies handed to them by Bertie and Biffo.

Cake and eat it time as always with the ASTI. Equal pay for equal work posters down in the Silversprings apparently. Can't change their mind just to have an excuse to go looking for more money.

Maybe we should go back to borrowing billions of Euro a year just to pay for the pay and pensions of our public servants.

spot on RebelY.. the same lads that absolutely sold their own young teachers out will now stand next to them and tell them its all wrong

5000 more teachers added in last cou pls of years but all the Marxists want is more of the pi? for themselves. This pretence that they are concerned about new entrants is laughable.
