The one on mccurtain street is across the rd from the Metropole Hotel. There as little shopping arcade type thing with a balloon and fancy dress shop. The Gym is next door.
Aye....Smurf is on the ball........it's Thomsons Buildings or something like that........2 gyms in there........Liam Beechinor runs a BJJ gym upstairs and Anthony Corkery/Dave Ahern run a thai boxing gym downstairs.......mix and match between the 2, all sound heads in there.

They'd be sound......it's probably how most people come across it first.
I was always amazed at the amount of first timers that used to pop down the week after a fight night was held.......people saw it in the skin, thought it was savage and the gym used to be out the door.......numbers generally dwindled when people realised how tough it actually was.
Just go for it......you'll get ridiculously fit from it all, the bjj is insane for strength and the muay thai the same for cardio fitness....not to mind the whole learning how to fight side of it......forget your "self defence" classes.....learn how to fucking hit somebody, and hard!

Used to fight competitively back in the day, was never really into the self defence side of it, and have wanted to get back into it as my fitness isnt as good of late, and running on concrete is a pain. Plus it's always fun to go toe to toe like.
Took up BJJ thre before xmas. A Brazilian chap called Thiago was the instructor. He is about 6"2 and well built . Strong as an ox. First few weeks all grand.
Then this Brazilian one started, cute as a button, lovely tits and nice body. She was the instructors girlfriend.
As i was kinda new and she was new, they put us together mainly working from the closed guard. I'd say Jesus Christ didn't suffer as much on the cross as i did trying to fight a horn while training with her.
