i suppose he’ll go down the mental health route. i’d say he’ll shit all
over the dead wife and claim an abusive relationship. this will get dirty i’d say.

you’d almost understand someone murdering another person in a blind rage but once the reality of what you’ve done sinks the disposal of a corpse in such a fashion would be a thought out plan and not just done in a few minutes while still with the red mist clouding your judgement.

Allegedly, in the 4 days that it took him to report her missing, a wall was built to block off the stairwell, where the body was uncovered. If true, there must have been a right racket coming from the house.

After the trial, if a documentary is made, perhaps the title could be, Stairway to Hell.

I'm guessing they'll argue that it's such a well-known case locally that a jury might be biased. In fairness if you're on telly appealing for your wife to come home but she's actually buried under your stairs and you're the only other person who lived there, it's going to be tough to sway any jury that you didn't do it.

But I assume they won't be saying he didn't do it but that'll they'll try to go for manslaughter and that he was provoked by her. They'll need to paint her in a very bad light and that she somehow treated him badly or did something provocative. For example, if you found out your old doll was banging your best bud and you topped her, you'd still be guilty but you could get a much more lenient sentence. The trouble for Satchwell will be that he was professing his undying love for her the whole time he was pretending he didn't know where she went. He went on local and national media saying this so he'll have to say that that was a lie so his other lie was less of a lie.

Agreed,but irrespective how he tries to portray her,
Too late ,as he didn't say nowt so far,
