I was in an Aldi a few years ago and the cashier was complaining that she used to love going to Youghal when she was small but hated it now because every time she went down the lovely beaches were gone because of climate change. “Just small beaches now” she said. it genuinely is around thirty years since i’ve been in youghl. isn’t it a gravel beach with those timber ramparts to stop the longshore drift?
