I once got the hammer cause I liked a post that was factually correct. And that wasn't my opinion either, plenty of evidence that could back it up but a few people were offended by the truth and the fact.
I submitted an online enquiry through the website a few times questioning what the issue was, no acknowledgement or reply.
I stay off that thread now.

I believe that kind of treatment is the reason Jimmy and a few others haven't returned because if it happens me again I'm gone.

Something similar happened to me in the past. In fact it could have been my reaction to the same post that got me banned.

Sure I’ve been on the receiving end myself. I’m a grown man and I take responsibility for my own actions and blaming others isn’t very mature.

There isn’t somebody going around PROC reporting everyone. The owner(s) of the site rely heavily on advertising revenue, and businesses are hardly going to want to advertise on a website that becomes known for hosting racist, homophobic or similarly offensive content.

So if you post something that could reasonably be interpreted that way, don’t automatically assume there’s some secret gang out to get you. The site has its own interests to protect, and keeping advertisers comfortable is probably a fairly big one.

But at the same time who will advertise on a site that's too PC and doesn't allow the discussions/debate of factually correct information?
Some businesses might be afraid to advertise and someone could take issues with the business and advertisement.

I am all for the banning of those who are openly discriminating against those who fall under the 9 grounds of discrimination.
But if something is factually correct it cannot be deemed discrimination (unless someone changes the context)

Well that comes down to judgment. AdminY must make a human interpretation on all posts and because it’s their site ultimately their judgement matters more than anything else.

There are too many posts for Admin to be making an interpretation on them all, even if they're to be monitoring things 24/7 which is humanly impossible. Even with two (there may well be more) Admins, who claim to hold down jobs as well, they have to rely on people staying within the lines. For the rest they've a "Report" button with which you are overly familiar imho.

AdminY doesn’t have the time to monitor all threads but you’re saying a poster or posters who always report people do.

The fact many people can dispute the hammer would show that adminY interpretation is based off pressure from those who report and cry and don't stop reporting people.
As I said I got the hammer for liking a factually correct post cause someone was offended.

Well I can’t speak to that because I’ve no idea what it was about. I’m just speaking in general terms.

No I'm not. I'm saying that the informers just Report on threads that they're reading anyway. There could very well be far worse hidden away undiscovered by them or Admin on some obscure threads that few people bother with.

It was YOU that said Admin monitored ALL posts - not I.
