Funny you mention that considering your own efforts. This is of course an informal anonymous forum where nobody seriously sticks to style guides like the Chicago Manual or AP, and grammar and punctuation are loose at best, including in many of your own posts on other forums I see.

That’s the book I read about 20 years ago. Those poor girls. Your heart would break for them and their families. It triggered my interest in all these cases. I always had a draw as I’d a son the very same age as 12 year old Philip Cairns who vanished in Dublin.. from reading the Cummins book and a bit more reading online I discovered that the narrative in the media and the hype around Larry Murphy as a possible serial killer was all nonsense and a possible diversion manufactured by powerful people.

This I don't understand, you think that a family member has chosen a bad partner so you abandon them?

What purpose does that serve apart from pushing them closer together.


Keep your friends close and your enemies closer where you can keep an eye on them

Usually it's the person cuts off their family. I've counselled many people who they and their family were cut off by someone despite their best efforts to connect.

Garreth O'Callaghan is a great campaigner of the search for Cairns. I think I read he's relaunching an appeal soon as it is 10 years since he first started his original appeal.

So sad, while there is no proof I think it’s fairly widely accepted what happened to poor Phillip Cairns.
