So this guy is arrested, released without charge, and then the Independent writes an article all about him, referring to him as "The Yank".

Surely if he's released without charge he has the right to privacy? But instead a newspaper publishes a biography of him.

His identity is known with years. Both himself and his brother have been pulled in before I think, last time about 2 years ago..
I read a book about 20 years ago while on holidays and it had identified the key suspects/killers and gave the full story in all those missing girls cases in the midlands and Mary Boyle. Sure Tis nearly always the boyfriend/partner/family member. Poor Jo Jo Dollard picked up by a complete stranger alright if I remember correctly..
Guards just didn’t have enough to nail the bastards.. one monster used to taunt the guards with calls and letters too. Barbaric stuff

All Allegedly. As they used to call em long go he was “an admirer” or “had taken a bit of a fancy to her” , using modern terminology a stalker, he had physically hurt her previously allegedly. All of this has been reported previously in the papers.
