Without knowing anything you’d say it all.
But it happens.. a lot.. some estrangement is just slowly over time and life is busy… some with deliberate intent for good reason.. some under the control of a dysfunctional partner.
I'd say there's hardly a family out there that hasn't fallen out with a family member over a partner/spouse.

This I don't understand, you think that a family member has chosen a bad partner so you abandon them?

What purpose does that serve apart from pushing them closer together.


Keep your friends close and your enemies closer where you can keep an eye on them

So this guy is arrested, released without charge, and then the Independent writes an article all about him, referring to him as "The Yank".

Surely if he's released without charge he has the right to privacy? But instead a newspaper publishes a biography of him.
