If it was before and body was found you'd be hopeful that they might have a fair idea about who'dunnit.

The man who was spreading the slurry had been asked to do so by the nephew of the missing man.Story I heard this morning from a local, was that there was 2 slurry tanks, one was emptied,the other half emptied and the gardai poked the rest of it with sticks and decided it was empty. Whatever info they got, decided to revisit this weekend so a neighbour went at the pit with an agitator and then filled the tank and went spreading. Tank got blocked when spreading... and they're now searching the field for remains. Terrible stuff

Ultimately I'd blame the gardai for this shocking development, they clearly didn't carry out a thorough search if the second tank.
