Pool is a class game. It's more tactical than snooker imho - albeit you need to be a much better shot in snooker
Lol...
Every single shot in snooker takes exact cue ball precision to track or you're out of position. Top spin, side spin, screw back, stun, reverse spin, reverse side spin etc.

Now try doing that against the run of the cloth for a long pot, and into much smaller pockets.

As for tactical, the clue is in the name snooker.

Give a handy snooker player one visit in pool and he will clear the table. It's like tiddlywinks in comparison lol.

No denying the superior cuemanship of snooker but there’s more tactics in pool imho. You need to be able to track in pool too with much fewer target balls and more balls you must avoid.
Except when behind towards end of game in snooker it’s always important to pot - not so in pool.

There’s a skill to it.

Watch the Mosconi Cup on Sky and you’ll see some absolute magicians of pool.
Not saying there isnt but snooker players can and have competed with top pool players in pool. However, top pool players would have the floor wiped with them by snooker players in snooker. Snooker is a far more skillful game. Its not just 'all potting'. Often there are intriguing and prolonged safety and tactical exchanges to work an opening.
