Midleton

Sometimes in the Vic we'd rent the fancy tables upstairs, but we'd only play pool in the big tables.

You'd miss the Vic. Was in there every day after school. You'd go into the pool room and couldn't even see due to all the smoke in there. And you'd have decent games there as well. I remember when Street Fighter 2 came out. I was absolutely blown away.

Bit of trivia but the first place in cork too get Street Fighter 2: championship edition was actually the Tudor. Me and friend went down there but it was a scum hole.

You would miss the place. If I won the Euromillions I'd open an arcade for teenagers in every sizable town. Skate parks and the like are great but they need a spot where they can play games and go a little bit, but not too mental, without prying eyes. A place of their own, really. Takes a sound mind to keep something like that going. And you'd need to be on the ball at every moment when it comes to kids. A really tough gig. I don't think I could actually manage the responsibility of it, tbpfhwy.

I was mainly in the pool area, stinking the place up with fag smoke. Point Blank was the video game I played with a buddy, going looloo on the triggers. I was always jealous of the wans playing Puzzle Bobble, it'd be an arcade machine I'd get if I had the money and space, the high stools to sit down on as well (I'd get some pinball, too, but there's sfa pinball in Ireland as it's so expensive to maintain.) And I think I was the only person who played the Time Crisis with the uzi. They replaced that with the Dance Dance Revolution games as I was aging out. Delighted for the young teens to get that, pounding their feet out to Japanese mayhem, manga and anime.

And I know they got in the video jukebox but did they put stuff like WWF and wrestling on the TVs, too? I can't remember. Although these days WWF is all Trump and Elon losers whereas AEW is what the cool kids are at. Hangman Page, The Anxious Millennial Cowboy, and The Bastard Pac (a Geordie). Owned by Shahid Khan, the self-made billionaire who also owns Fulham.

I used play point blank in the Vic as well. I think that machine ended up in Barcadia in the Mardyke

Thanks! I saw an Asian girl today wearing the sandles and I was going to ask her were they comfy but I didn't want to be odd. I'll get a pair on sale I'd say

I used to pal around with the owner's nephew in school. We'd often head in on a week night and play pool for free for an hour or 2 on the table by the door at the top of the stairs. I was shit at pool then, and I'm still shit to this day.
