Magic of the FA Cup 2026

Thats a bigger upset.
In England now the standard difference between leagues is a lot less than it used to be. Due to the huge influx of foreign players. A lot of very good local talent who would have made it into first division teams years ago, are filling-out teams in lower leagues these days.
Hmmm...nah.

Maybe at the lower levels there is a certain degree of parity but even the average mid table Premier League club is far richer now than ever before.

What in gods name has this got to do with anything EnnisY? If anything it would make it even harder for them as they are unlikely to have set hours like an employee so much easier for a teacher to commit to the training etc

I dunno, it just means that these lads have more going for them than the local football team.

Sit in the boardroom for the day counting your cash before heading off for training with Rooneys brother.

Doesn't add up.

The same Grimsby that scraped past Weston Super Mare the other day. Maybe if Weston Super Mare (sounds like a solid horse) had played at Old Trafford, United could have taken it to penalties.

What players own what businesses with boardrooms?

The Macclesfield story is brilliant, but there are a few things about it that make it less romantic than if it had been a real nobody.

Their manager is Wayne Rooneys brother, which is one thing.

A bunch of their players have their own businesses, so they aren't exactly lads coming off the building sites and going to training.

There's just a bit of the Wrexham about them for me.

But it is a fantastic story and achievement nonetheless 👍

Hopefully they get a massive draw tonight
If they were Wrexham, they simply wouldn't be 14th in the National League North.
