On a clear day you can see the Beara penensula, iveragh penensula and sheep's head off in the distance it's like getting a space station to take a picture of the country and cropping out all the shitty parts.

You might be right ! As you mention it, a nice day out for us lately is to drive down to Glenbeigh as the dunes of Rosbeigh are fantastic for the dog ! Come back in through Killarney and eat at Khao (65 Main Street).
