I havnt quite nailed down how im gonna play it, but unless i learn to play the keys live between now and then i dont think ill brave that side of things.... The mpd will be coming long so i guess ill play some stuff on that, but mainly ill just be using ableton to chops stuff and recreate tracks... dunno if id consider it playing "live" tbh, but ill try and make it as entertaining as possible...

Ableton is superb for that. I'm using Reason 6 now which is unbelievable but limited on that side of things. I tried Ableton 8 before as a demo and might look at getting the full program next year, especially for the performing side of it.
