I was pleasantly surprised by Zu cork today,
Got a motor sent down from Zu car Drogheda and between 2 of em they really stood up to the mark,
I can be prickly when looking to get something,
By God they were super,
Patient ( I’m a pensioner so hard to pls at times)
Friendly banter,
Welcome by front of house staff etc etc
Steve was outstanding,
Highly recommended,
Straight talking,no commission/ haggling etc
Kearys the cunts could take a leaf out of zu cars book,
I was left hanging with 12-15k in my pocket plus a trade in down with them a few years back,
To say I felt insignificant is an understatement,
When they found out I didn’t want finance & had what I had in my pocket they didn’t offer me a seat,
Wan behind the desk pointed me in another direction,
Basically fuck off down there to tbe cheapies


PS I was a returning customer to Zu
And highly recommend them

I dropped in to Kearys myself about a year ago, same experience. Left me there a good while, then told me I couldn’t afford what I was interested in and started to show me cars that would have been a good step down from what I was trading in. Serious you haven’t enough money to be bothering me vibes because I told him I wouldn’t be taking any credit.

We left, drove down to Assured Autos at the Marina based on my missus calling about a car there she saw on Done Deal as we drove away from Kearys. Complete opposite vibe, an absolute gent. Got a nicer car than yer man in Kearys nearly laughed at when I suggested it.. and all done in 30 mins flat

Because I haven't a second in my life between work, family and sport, so the idea of me heading off looking at cars on a Saturday morning in Dublin was never going to happen. Neither of us has any real interest in cars either so there isn't that push to want a new car and find it. We happened to be driving to a family thing in West Cork for a weekend and as we were out around Watergrasshill I mentioned that there is a bunch of car sales places around little island, why not stop off quickly and see if we could find something. Keary's was first because I knew they were there, back into the car after them and while I was heading for the tunnel the missus comes across Assured Autos so we flew down to him quickly. He told the missus he had 3 cars all just imported from the UK that sounded like they would suit what we were describing, arrived and he had them all out the front ready as he knew we didn't have much time. He suggested we take one of them for a test drive because it had the best spec of the 3, while we were gone he ordered us a sandwich and coffee from a nice place across there road. The car was lovely, he cut me what felt like a fair and decent deal.. we shook hands 30 minutes after I met him and I popped back the next morning to pick it up on the way back through!

Got great joy passing out a tractor with a trailer full of hay yesterday.

Opened her up and took about 45 seconds to reach 100kph

She's a great old servant and getting rid of her would feel like getting a pet put down.
