Little things that are immensely satisfying

That’s a shame
I was mediocre bar English/ History
Went into adult education in tbe 6 counties
( open university thing ran by a queen’s lecturer- supervisory management)
Enjoyed it & helped me run a few gangs of painters in Derry (govt sponsored)
Great job
Crap pay,
Tried waste management in St John’s college
Lasted 9 months
Had to get back up a ladder 🪜 again,
Enjoyed the challenge

It's Paul who had the shop and his wife worked for an insurance broker. I mixed up the names and it's Paul that I'm asking about.
Sorry for the confusion.
Michael is an accountant afaicr.

Couldnt do English and History in college (when I eventually got there after repeating and dumping the subjects I had no interest in) I think History clashed with Psychology which I really wanted to do. I regret that choice because I ended up despising statistics( basically bullshit Maths) and struggling to complete practicals which was Psychology basically masquerading as a science subject. Basically 30000 words of horseshit on things like the suffix effect(one of the more interesting Psychology practical topics). The subject rewarded the type of students who achieved 500 plus points on their leaving cert and didnt really have any aptitude for the subject. That was just the way it was set up at the time.

I had free education in college by the way because my old man worked there. He started off sweeping the floors at 16. No college education. Eventually finished school which considering his situation with no father and not even enough money to bury him without assistance from the parish was an achievement.

I'm proud of myself for not buying clothes and 2 bags I didn't need last night. It's the buzz of buying these shiny new items is the thing. I'd get them, use them once and discard them probably. It's a bit like gambling or any addiction really.
I dunno do other people buy a lot of clothes and that?
