Weekend goes way to fast- sooner they implement a 4 day work week the better

A 4 day week would be the ideal balance alight - the only proviso is everyone needs to move at once or it doesn't work!
We have completely lost the balance of family life and working in our parents lifetimes, people are better qualified and have opportunities that were not possible, but almost every household also needs both parents working. We are lucky enough in that we both have flexible enough set-ups but its still a massive balancing act

Well the 4 day work week seems to be going ok in Iceland. Will probably be adopted in Ireland in 2100

Nothing against the Soc Dems but the only reason they are saying that is because they know they'll never have to implement it. What aspects of the health budget are they going to cut to be in a position to allocate 10% to mental health? Cancer treatment, hip replacement, A&E etc etc... not politically feasible.
Unfortunately mental health will continue to be the poor relation for the foreseeable.
