One of my aunts is a massive control freak. Unless she’s organising something (be it a funeral, wedding, christening or whatever) then it’s done wrong and a scene must be caused. Preferably on the steps of a church.

Oh I've one of those too. After a family bereavement a few years ago, myself, the folks and siblings have just ignored her.

Honestly the amount of drama she was causing in the family was incredible on reflection. Best ignored. Nod and smile at family gatherings.

It's taken a serious amount of stress away from my old fella thankfully.
