Klarna

Every time I make a purchase online I see the Klarna option to spread the payments but have never bothered to take it up or look into it any further. I was reading an article yesterday saying that it is available for almost all online purchases so people are regularly using it to spread the cost of food deliveries etc. Maybe thats no different to using a credit card or overdraft facility but it seems like a recipe for disaster to me, and the height of laziness. Whatever about spreading the cost of buying something significant like a laptop or something, delaying payment on a soggy burger and chips seems absolutely mental to me

I think it is dangerous because it breaks the connection between wanting something and being able to afford it.

Which arguably credit cards also do. But I can't imagine many people used their cc to buy McDonalds.

Yeah, and whatever about using credit to buy something you might actually need, the idea of sitting at home and ordering fast food on credit is bananas. If you are hungry, have limited funds, and need something quick surely boiling some pasta and stirring a bit of pesto through it would get you sorted for a fraction of the price and about the same amount of time?

The thoughts of paying off shit fast food the month after you've eaten it is enough to make you feel the exact same way you did after eating it!
