Which of them do you think I think is better?
The killing of all three people was very regrettable history of our country. Unlike you it seems, I don't see a hierarchy of victimhood amongst the three victims of our turbulent 20th Century tbh though far from some quip about "the seaside", I do think that what was done to the bodies of Mrs Lyndsay and her driver far more barbaric than what was done to the body of Jean McConville.

McConville's body was buried where she was shot and thankfully subsequently found, those who'd killed her/had her killed providing information to try have the body found.

By contrast Mrs Lyndsay's body, and that of her driver, were initially buried where they were shot, but subsequently dug up and reburied by those who killed her to help make sure they'd not be quickly found, and then they were dug up again and the bodies were burnt so that nothing recognisable could ever be found.

If you'd known half as much about the conflict in this country in the 20th Century as you pretend, you'd have known this, and you wouldn't be trying to make tasteless remarks about taking Jean McConville "to the seaside".

I'm not playing down Jean McConville's killing anymore than that of Mrs Lyndsay or of her driver - but you at last seem to now concede their killing was twice as bad as Jean McConville's.

Now that we've established that, are you also willing to accept that what happened in the aftermath of McConville's killing was far less barbaric than what happened in the aftermath of the killing of Mrs Lyndsay and her driver?

Or do you think we should just ignore those historical facts?


BTW, the disappearance of Jean McConville was closer in time to the disappearance of Mrs Lyndsay and her driver than it is to the present day. But typically some only want to ever discuss one - again just for the political pointscoring rather than the warts and all discussion of the history of this island.
