About 20 years ago I thought it would be a good idea to become more worldly and knowledgeable in sophisticated matters like wine tasting.

So me and my then Girlfriend now wife signed up for 4 Saturdays of tutored wine tasting In l'attitude 51. it was great you'd head in lunchtime Saturday and get fuckin sozzled on plonk.

The crowd at it were eclectic enough mostly auld wans running down the clock (and to a person driving home to Blackrock), some young wans coming with friends and one set of politically connected brothers, one of whom may have been awaiting trial for fraud and soliciting of a hit man. Now it took us a few weeks to figure out who the asshole laughing at their own jokes were but you'd peg them as assholes after 5 mins.

On the last day yer wan basically told us to go to town, it was "sparkling wine and port" day and it was good stuff

The younger politically connected brother with the thinning hairline and lively selection of cravats made a joke that the spitoons provided for the tasting were defunct and "may as well be hats"

He thought this joke was so funny he went on to demonstrate what lovely hats they would make and dumped a litre or so of regurgitated vino directly onto his velvet sports jacket in full view of everybody

I would remind you I witnessed this first hand.

The course was great I'd highly recommend it but you'd want to be able to write off 4 consecutive weekends.

The irony is that these sporting reference would go straight over Kenny’s head. The man has no interest in sport at all but not unlike other politicians he pretends to for electoral reasons.

This thread is about KOF not MM or me for that matter.

Let’s keep it on topic. Hopefully we’ll hear stories of how KOF changed people’s lives for the better.

Surely someone has an example.

Anyone?
