Why is he so unpopular?

He and Labour made absolute bollix of the gift they were handed when they took over a complete mess from a hugely unpopular Tory government. They were pledging no tax rises and refused to call Brexit for the shitshow it turned out to be when they should have said Tories have left the country a financial basket case and difficult decisions need to be made. They should have inflicted the pain early on when it was easier to blame the Tories.

The Mandelson story just few weeks before the elections didn't help!
