Junior A Hurling Championship 2024

Tracton looked to have just thst extra level of fast hurling , I guess their experience in playing higher grades in league and past experience in reaching finals of the higher grade stood to it , the conditions made it a dog fight but tracton are back where they belong . Questions still being asked about how they went down last year with a so called dream team management of Paul Mac and Gordon Ahern , I wonder where they tuned in tonight ?
They had a bad year last year and with the new championship structure you’ll get punished for it. Too many teams had bad years for 5+ years in the old structure and still stayed in the championship.

As for the point on the management, sometimes it just doesn’t work out. Is Richie Kelleher a bad manager for being in charge when the Glen went down? Or Cody with James Stephen’s this year?

I could see it all year that tracton where better than all the teams in this grade, wouldn’t know much about Paul mac and Gordon ahern to be honest but i have heard they had nothing to do with inniscarras county win that year and it was Mark prendergast did all there training, obviously they where sold a dud last year when they took over as management. Would like to see if Kingston will stay on with them next year and try drive them onto intermediate.

Fair play to Tracton and huge congratulations to all involved. Last year was a very low point for the club and there was a big fear that we could be stuck down in Junior A for a long time to come. There's always the chance that we could go down again but that's a problem for another day. The team were under huge pressure every championship game they played and they delivered the result each time.

Happy for Kingston. Its a good sign of a fella to get involved when a team is at their lowest. Plenty are great to only hang around and be involved with teams that are going well
agreed..have to respect him for it. Not like the usual suspects always lingering around looking for a team with the best players
