Junior A Hurling Championship 2024

Pitches shouldn’t matter at this stage of the year ffs, whichever ones are the dryest and most playable, it’s not like anyone’s playing on there home pitch

Are DOM that good? Are they contenders? Is it the dual in Bal that’s the issue? On paper they are as strong as anyone but the wheels seem to come off the bus time after time anyone down that way shed light on it?
Bal on paper are by far the best team in Carbery, But they have zero bottle and are what you’d call a league team. They came into this game far too arrogantly and got punished for it.

Provisional fixture list was emailed to clubs today, all games Sunday at 2 o'clock. Should be on website tomorrow id say once there are no issues with the list

Ballinora v Mathunas in ovens
Killeagh v Whitechurch in Carrigtwohill
Dromtarriffe v Kilavullen in Kilbrin
Ballinora vs mathunas- wouldn’t consider either teams contenders for the county and ballinora should win by a few points

Killeagh vs whitechurch- if whitechurch can mark the 2 Walshs and Mullins plays the way hes capable of I think killeagh will have there hands full, but I think killeagh should also be winning this too

And dromtariffe should be beating kilavullen also.

I think it will be a dromtariffe/killeagh vs tracton final, and if tracton can improve on the performance they had against valley rovers in the final they should be doing what the Glen did and go straight back up to where they belong.

I was surprised at the result I must say especially when did they won a decent league but when Bal couldn't beat Mathúna's over 2 games, then maybe they aren't as good as they appear to be.
They would have fancied themselves at a shot at the county.

Are they more of a summer team?

Pretty sure Ballinora have been training in Ovens twice a week aswell
Would think Ovens would suit Mathunas really. Haven’t been there in years but from memory I would think it’s wouldn’t be as open as other pitches around like Cloughduv or Brinny? Think a smaller pitch will help Mathunas anyway.
