Junior A Hurling Championship 2024

how could any proper supporter leave a club game early?
were you avoiding the traffic?

if you haven't the decency to support your club to the end don't come on a web site spouting your nonsense and abusing players and management with nasty drivel
Great to see the Clare man come to give his input on the North Cork Junior hurling scene, it was badly needed. Have you been to Kilshannig Gaa much recently? If you haven't then I'll paint a picture for you, the parking set up is in a field. It was a largely attended game, the entrance to the field allows for one car. The dressing rooms are on the other side of the road to the pitch, as is the field where you park. Pedestrians crossing to there cars get priority by the stewards which I agree. So it can be a bit of a prick of a place to get out of. I didn't leave 10 minutes early. The clock had hit 60 by the time I left, but as always your opinion is greatly appreciated here.
Great win for Killavullen yesterday ? they've slowly progressed over the last few years and in the last 12 months have won football North Cork and hurling league and now into a hurling final for first time in many years, they also have a great chance in football aswell. Habour Rovers will be favourites in the final and rightly so but Killavullen could win it if they learn from their group game played few weeks ago. Dromina deserve massive credit, died with their boots on again and going by twitter it seemed like a classic north Cork championship match. Very disappointing for Gaels who offer so much promise and let a lead slip yesterday, they've a busy few weeks ahead with football championship and two u21 finals coming up. Would like Hondageals to elaborate more on the Nepotism he mentioned?? Was always positive about the club up to yesterday.
Yes in hindsight the wording was a bit harsh, the family in question are one of the best we have, but the player in question would be the first to say he played poorly, he hardly touched a ball in the last game against Ballyhooly and got the full game, while lads who were scoring and playing well were taken off. Our lads played Ballinhassig in a challenge match the weekend of the Avondhu quarters and the player suffered an injury that stopped him from training for the past few weeks. All the discussion around me was who was taking his place in the team during the warm up, but he started. He played every minute I was in attendance for, I didn't see this part but he was actually substituted off at the end and the player who replaced him scored the goal at the end. Disappointment got the better of me yesterday and I am hopeful and positive going forward. However I do stand by the fact that if that player wasn't related to the management I don't think he'd have been given a jersey let alone given 60 minutes. I have to give the management credit though, before they came in we'd never made it past the group stage. Then they took us to a final in their first year, beaten in the semi last year by the eventual winners and I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case again this year.

Besides the whole leaving the pitch 3 minutes maximum early, was anything else I said wrong?

No I agreed totally wit you .about the player in question but being a selector coach is a hard place .but they lose tgere shape ..they need a outside coach end off.
I understand completely, and like i said above, my initial post was harsh. The management have been in place for 3 years and havent taken a cent off the club and they deserve great credit for that. An outside coach is probably what's needed. Fresh slate. Disappointing end to the year but I think 9 or 10 of the starters are u21 so we'll call it a learning experience. Might have got a bit comfortable when they went 8 up , they'll learn from it. Every score is a new game.
