Junior A Hurling 2025

Thought the ref was very much in favour of Kilshannig today, especially at crucial times. Blew Newmarket for a few dubious throws which were converted and when Hugh O'Connor failed to rise the ball he gave a free against him, should have been a throw ball. Can't see how HOC is in with the seniors, really would need to bulk up imo.
Kilshannig much better for most parts but Newmarkets backs did well winning turnovers in the second half. Kilshannig definitely the better hurlers, especially their ball striking. Newmarket didn't get enough from their FF line.
Still fancying Kilshannig to win the competition.

Good win for Kilshannig against a decent Newmarket side. Kilshannig were definitely more accurate and Newmarket were quite wasteful.

Newmarket were very slow to start and this was probably due to not playing a championship game for 5 weeks while also not meeting a team of Kilshannig's magnitude up to now. Their touch looked way off also. But Newmarket got to the pitch of the game brought themselves back in to it again and even got on top in the middle part of the game. Conor O' Keeffe was impressive for them.

Éanna O' Hanlon was brilliant for Kilshannig bagging the goal and a few points, but also his aerial ability and athleticism was a huge advantage today. Colm O'Shea at full back swept up everything that came into him. Jack Twomey came up with some important catches and scores near the end helped them get over the line too.

On Hugh O' Connor, I was interested to see how he'd go. I definitely did see glimpses of his potential. He is a good striker of the ball and agile but he didn't do enough for me today to suggest he is an intercounty senior hurler. But maybe he'll quickly learn and develop while in training. We'll wait and see.

Kilshannig await the winners of Cobh and Ballinora in the other semi final. Any of the final 3 teams are capable of winning this so it is wide open.

Will the final be in pairc ui rinn?
I assume the semi finalists the weekend coming will get 2 week run up to final?
Final is usually Pairc Ui Rinn for Junior A anyway, be surprised if they changed that.

Not sure about the 2 weeks, whole thing is a bit behind given our replay in the football, that said they might still though after the football got postponed last week, make it a double header in a few weeks time.

Would make the most sense.
Kilshannig played the drawn match in pairc ui choimh a few years back. The replay was in pairc ui rinn.
I'd assume it'll be pairc ui rinn as munster are playing a European game in pairc ui choimh mid December
