C. Ballinascarthy v St James (Aug 28)
D. Randal Og v Argideen Rangers (Aug 30)
Semi-finals: A v D and B v C.

Looks like a very lopsided draw with four potential winners all on the same side of the draw

These Junior A games were scheduled to be played this weekend.
But the Carbery Board are putting there Senior Football players first.
Fair play to them for recognizing player welfare

Is that not a designated hurling weekend? Last round of group games around the county are on then afaik?
It is a designated weekend but the divisional boards a mess. The sooner they are disbanded the better. Some follow the same programme as the county championship which makes total sense. Others don't like Carbery it appears. Some divisions have games this weekend even if it's a free weekend.

To be fair to the Carbery division, they appear to be giving their Senior footballers a fair chance by pushing those games back until next weekend.

TBF, It's only a designated/free weekend at County level. Divisions are free to run their own comps as they like. Many run along with County board as it's prob the easiest thing to do really!

Divisions need to meet deadlines for Football winners to enter county and Munster Championships at Junior level. No pressure on Divisions to run off hurling Championships due to Premier Junior Hurling Grade being formed. Hence why Football is taking precedence for most divisions.

Muskerrys Football QF this weekend, semis are due 2nd-4th Sept and Final TBC in September. Whereas Muskerrys Hurling Championship won't be concluded till Mid October provisionally.

I see Ballygiblin v Argideen Rangers in last PJHC group game is on that weekend too, and its a group decider, explains why their football q/final game is on the Tuesday so, thats a bit harsh on them, only a couple of days between each code, as someone said the Divisional Boards should really try to follow Co schedule/programme or else it puts teams at a definite disadvantage

Inniscarra will be tough to beat in this grade as they seem to have got their act together with a talented team and arguably the best player in this grade in Sean O Donoghue, up there with Brian O Driscoll and Gore as the top 3.
