Joining a gym

Don't beat yourself up. That's 60 minutes excersise in the bank that you didn't have when you got up this morning.Dust yourself down and go again for your next session. Make sure you stay well hydrated. 50 minutes is bordering on deminishing returns if it includes weights and high intensity stuff.

Depends on the warm ups, rest times, etc.

You could be a while doing warm up sets on squats and deadlifts like. Then add in 1-2 minute rest between working sets . It all adds up. But I'd never go over an hour myself.

I did around the 20 chin ups, sher I wouldn't be able for that kind of thing at all yet

Someone told me today I lost weight but I'd say it's toning maybe. I think I look huge to be honest. I've hyper aware of fitness now and I'm genuinely admiring people who are fit looking because I know they've put work into themselves.
I'm also fully aware of how hard it can be and maybe weighing too much for reasons out of your control also. I've been both: really huge and really fit so trying to get back to it.
This is not a 'poor me, spamming', it's a commentary of how important it is to look after yourself even when it's hard.
