Joining a gym

I'm building muscle on my arms now. It wasn't intentional but hey. Rock hard to touch too
I'd recommend anyone to take up walking etc it's very good for your mental health.
I don't look fit yet but I'll get there.

The runs are a bastard at the start, once you build up some conditioning in a few weeks you’ll enjoy them
Lol, I fell into a cardio routine that's self advancing. I just jog after the small fellah on his bike when we go out in the evening to work off the dinner.

At the moment it's like the first weeks of the Couch to 5k program. I've my doubts he'll be representing Ireland or der Vaterland at the tour de France any time soon tbphwyfwiw

There were only 4 in my group, people of various ages and abilities which made it much easier. I was dreading the first full session but I found the first 40 minutes ok, I really enjoyed the body weight moves and lying down while lifting weights. The last 10 minutes were very hard though. But even on the first night I managed to do pretty much everything. The only thing I struggled massively with was planking while doing weights. I did around 2 weights and the trainer saw that I was struggling so she came over and told me to change to a less challenging position and do the weights that way, and it was grand.

The programme varies by day, Thursday is apparently the hardest so I'm going to go tomorrow instead. That will require me to not go for after work pints for the first time ever, which will tell me just how serious I am about this. If I can do it.

Thanks mister. I'm working up to incorporating the second 5kg bell when I'm able. I'm doing it fierce gradual. That's an excellent article.
By the by, would you think 7 days of 20 mins is too much, would you take a rest day? One maybe

Goodman. keep it up

This can be a byproduct of training late in the evening.

Try a glass of 1 teaspoon of magnesium in water 30 mins before bed it really made a difference to me
Sorry to quote again. I take the tablet form of Magnesium but I buy all my supplements from Holland and Barrett. It helps me sleep even too much!! I had bloods done 2 years nearly ago in hospital so the supplements given I was lacking in like magnesium for one.
EnnisY try Thaimine for now definitely because alcohol depletes it in the body.

Take a day off. Let the body recover. Even Just to take a mental break from it. it'll serve you better in the long run

I’d listen to the body it will tell you if it needs rest or not.

20mins per day should be manageable depending on intensity but in saying that if you were at it 6 days nothing wrong with taking a day off but I’d recommend taking the same day off each week to keep the routine,

that’s what works for me at least I have the days I train and the days I don’t and I try my best to keep them the same each week, overtime it’s a platform for good progress
