No, not dynamic. I was on at 10am and 55 was the lowest but they would have been snapped up first.

€85 by the time you add all of the fees and a "collector's ticket" (which you can't remove from the basket).

It's too much money for what it is - a tribute band.

The issue with keeping it in Cork/Ireland is that you couldn't just have the '61 Strat and open a museum/shrine to it.

You'd have to buy a lash of Rory's guitars, amps, jeans, jocks etc. to display alongside it - like the "David Bowie Is..." exhibition.

I am assuming here but... I would think that Donal Gallagher has probably sold off the lesser items piecemeal over the years.

Regardless - the Stratocaster will rarely be played in public that much and will never have anyone wring the sound out of it that its master could.

Were there plans to house it and other memorabilia in a special permanent exhibition in the new Library on Grand Parade whenever that happens?


Nothing worse than seeing it end up in some NFL or NBA team owners collection in his rumpus room with tons of other great guitars like George Harrisons Gibson SG just to be shown off to other multi-millionaires.

I tried the Tues tix, was able to backtrack the collector bullshit and select the €55 tickets without it, but when I click next it just has €70 tickets in the basket. No mention of collector nonsense, just forcing you into the €70 tix. Verrrry fishy

Fuck sake i bought 2 yesterday at 70 quid. The system tried to push me into a collectors ticket and i kept at it until a normal ticket became available. now they're fuckin 55 again. What a fucking scam

Right, there's definitely something odd going on with tickets for this thing.

Yesterday, when I looked up the prices prior to posting on here, Ticketbastard wouldn't let put two tickets in the cart - only option was a single ticket and that came up at €83.50.
