Jesus lads, 'tis looking like BREXIT!

It has cocaine trending.........

This will get a lot worse. Many things are coming together, the potential end of Boris, the leadership campaigns of Truss and Baker, the DUP thinking the ERG will definitely not throw them under the bus this time, Nolan Show platforming the UVF..........

All on a completely false narrative.

UVF and cocaine trending................

The complete lack of the truth in the protocol / ERG / DUP situation across the media is staggering.

Brexit was not a cross community issue, NI voted Remain and were taken out anyway.
Therefore the WM approved WA and NIP are not cross community or Brexit falls in NI.
Therefore the unionist implied veto holds no water.
Not to mention it works and is wanted by the vast majority of people.

The ERG wanting the hardest Brexit aligns them with the UVF wanting the hardest border.

All of the commentary has been that the GFA is threatened by the protocol - it clearly isn't.
Even Jeffrey said as much on live television when he said it was an opportunity that made no change to the constitutional position of NI. It's even more rich when you consider the DUP hate the GFA.

When will the other parties in the Assembly get in the game?

The right of this, the truth of this, is not getting out at all.
Relying on the EU and the US to do the heavy lifting will not get it done.
I know there is an element of never get in the way of your enemy when they are making a mistake - but this has too many real life consequences for business, farmers, transport, exports, NHS staff, NHS patients.

Leave the party politics out of it - this is simply wrong. And they are getting away with it - a Tory MP said on BBC yesterday that SF won the election because they are completely opposed to the protocol and NOONE countered it.

You make some good points. Also, if WM are drawing up these unilateral changes “To protect the GFA”….has anyone asked them what they will do if it doesn’t protect the GFA and/or the wider economy. For example, if FDI currently in the pipeline gets pulled? If pro-protocol rallies take place (which no doubt will be violently attacked by loyalist ala the civil rights movements in the 60s) will this be seen by WM as proof that the argument for cross community support (or lack thereof) for the removal of the NIP doesn’t exist and it’s back to the drawing board?

EU negotiator
@MarosSefcovic
says of Boris Johnson’s plans to suspend part of the NI Protocol that “Unilateral action, effectively disapplying an international agreement such as the Protocol, is simply not acceptable” in a call with Liz Truss.

You can only laugh at this stage.
