Jesus lads, 'tis looking like BREXIT!

Torygraph

Paywall blocking but no, the UK is not in a fiscal crisis, if there was anything approaching one, reversing the Tory cuts to NI would solve it immediately.

The Tories have done a great job of fucking the country though, leaving the public accounts in a completely disastrous state
Is it fair to say, is it only a matter of time before they are in a fiscal crisis.

Not necessarily, no.

If Rachel Reeves has done her homework then they should be pretty ok.She jacked up taxes significantly at the last budget. It was delayed to find all the holes in the budget the Tories left, there was £22 billion in unfunded spend and commitments.

GDP growth will be key. If it stays on the floor this year then they will have to jack taxes up again. Personally I'm actually quite optimistic about it, although that might be down to how much AI work I do. I think the UK is pretty well set up for AI work, the US is a fucking mess and if Musk manages to set the agenda then the fact he has a competitor to AI companies is not good. The EU AI act and fear of EU general data regulations does have a bit of a deterrent effect on AI investment, the UK is looking to be a bit looser in terms of regulation than the EU.

It may indeed turn out to be the first Brexit benefit to actually mean anything. Still wouldn't come anywhere close to compensating.

Is it conclusive that each and every issue economically the UK has experienced, with the exception of Wuhan Wheeze, is all a result of their precious Brexit ?

GDP growth comes from productivity increases, which you won't get in financial services, so I expect to see the IMF bailing her out in the future

The sentiment in the jobs market is really bad right now, I've had to join a boring Financial company this time around, as there are less promising UK startups than ever.
