It's worth reiterating a point that really should have been the headline to that article. Britain effectively ended processing of asylum claimants from May 2023. It has resulted in incredible increases in people just stuck in the system, in more overcrowded and insecure circumstances, with large numbers simply disappearing into the black market on a daily basis.
