ITALY - The Italian National Football Team

[Super Billy Davies]

I like the Azzurri.

I've followed them in every tournament since 2002.

They are definitely my international team.

Love the Italian philosophy on football.

My favourite players throughout the years are:

Buffon

Panucci
Maldini
Cannavaro
Nesta
Materazzi
Zambrotta
Grosso
Barzagli
Chiellini
Bonucci

Gattuso
Perrotta
De Rossi
Ambrosini
Pirlo
Montolivo

Del Piero
Inzaghi
Totti
Montella
Vieri
Cassano
Toni
Gilardino
Di Natale

I'll be shouting on my Italians in Brazil.

[Pepe]

I will be shouting for the host nation but the Azzuri get my number 2.

[delzer]

I'm firmly on board the Belgium bandwagon but always liked the Italians. Pirlo is a joy to watch.

[Roundyfield]

I have always like the dirty blue too. I was upset for Baggio is 94, he is one of my favorite players period. And several of my Italian friends were near suicidal.

[Eoin]

I don't think I've ever quite forgiven them for beating us in 1990 tbh.

[shez1987]

Italy have been involved in more than their fair share of classic World cup ties.

Their wins over Brazil in 82 and Germany 06 were two of the best games I have ever seen.

Not sure they have the quality to win in Brazil, but they usually do themselves justice on the biggest stage of all.

[Cloudy O'Ranieri]

Always loved Italy and their approach to the game.

[marco 2005]

France #1

Italy #2

Hope la squadra azzurra will do well

Tough group tho

[Rebelred]

Backed them at handy odds to win it all in 06. Baggio was the hero of my youth

[raZor]

One, I always watch alright. Used to be Spain when they were their underachieving versions of themselves. The Italian rendition of their anthem doesn't sound the same as their rugby counterparts but it's still a joy to hear.

Getting behind Belgium this year too, don't reckon they'll win it but they'll give the 2016 YoYos a good go.
