But, let’s say Israel gets overwhelmed by Iranian rockets and the state ceases to exist.. would the place settle down and would there be peace?

If it goes full scale Israel v Iran, then Iran will lose and lose badly. Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran all heavily infiltrated. Hezbollah for all their bravado have been totally and utterly humiliated.

Isn't the Samson option for the Israeli's to use nukes as a last resort option basically if the country has been overrun or nearly destroyed? I'd doubt they'd use them as a first strike option?
