Isis

That is of course if ISIS is their main target! Listening to Abbott here in Oz and he is a cliched war on terror muppet.

If a lone wolf, as they call them, attacks a police officer when he is being brought in for questioning is he a terrorist? By the same token because this is all over the news and there is strong anti-Muslim sentiment then another guy who shouts abuse and threatens kids and teachers at a Muslim school a terrorist as well?

I think the biggest concern is if these Jihadists get control of nuclear weapons - particularly in Pakistan. Is it a case of strike now than be struck later! This is a fundamentalist threat that rewrites the rules of combat.

I don't see how you can beat them - you're dealing with a cancer that constantly regenerates itself.

ISIS certainly terrifying if you listen to the western media, nowhere near as frightening to me as the USA no matter which party is in office. Publicising 4 horrific beheading by some lunatic religious fanatics(ain't they all?).

Meanwhile the Wests best friend in the Arab/Muslim world Saudi Arabia has beheaded at least 19 people since the beginning of August, the Human Rights Watch has said. The deaths relate to the period from 4 to 20 August and are included in the 34 deaths ordered since the beginning of January. And barely a whisht in the media...wonder why?

Can see where you're coming from Colkitto but as fucked up as it is that can't be the priority, ISIS have shown themselves to be well capable fighters and very fast moving. The level of indoctrination is chilling, to the point where the 10 year old holding the AK who's only desire is to become a martyr for that Alan lad seems relatively normal. As bad as all the shit that goes on in Saudi Arabia is they're not going anywhere so concentrating on stopping ISIS has to be the sole priority from here, even if it means further dealings with the hypocrisy of somewhere like Saudi Arabia. The fact that loons like the Sauds want an end to something they helped to create says enough in itself.

On another note, fuck me it must be tough being a Kurd right now. Sad to see Turkey with tanks on hills watching that mess. Right on their doorstep but deep wounds with the Kurds so the co-operation and desire to help one another has predictably left a lot to be desired. Whatever about joining in, not allowing Kurds go to Kobane to fight was sad to see. Good to see the latest air strikes seem to have put a halt to further advance anyway, some fucked up conflict though.

you are more terrified by the USA than ISIS?

so you'd rather take a trip to ISIS territory than the states yeah?

The problem is looney bins like ISIS and the Taliban will only be stopped from sprouting up if their funding is cut off at its Saudi source.
