Bitcoin mining as a business has kinda died, it's now really only done with botnets and others who don't pay the real cost of infrastructure and energy.

It could be up 1,000% in the next 5 years, or down 90%. No real way of knowing for sure where it's going to go, all based on sentiment.

To be fair, same is true with gold, bitcoin has established as a similar status although clearly it's not acting as the same sort of safe haven right now.
