I was talking about the ridiculousness of directly attributing poor health to lack of education, when there's so many socio-economic factors at play here...

I don't see how.

For most, it's less effort to go down the chipper, than it is to go shopping, get the ingredients and cook a decent meal. For less money.
 
Not really. Not a good education at any rate.
Think of uniforms, books, calculators, co-curricular activities etc.

Anyway, correlation doesn't imply causation. Those guys should get lines.

Wasn't there a scheme where people can donate their used books for the poor kids in Knocknaheeney? Books and socks
