Irelands next President

On her 3 day visit to the north president Connolly was challenged by Gregory Campbell, He told her she is in his country now and
tonight he is going to Dublin for a debate so he would be in her country, He objected to her use of the word Derry but she never said London Derry,
AFAIK she apologised for that,
I’d say her politeness drove that bitter aul Cnut crackers.

She was quaking in her boots in case anyone asked her
"did she ask Dr Shannon what was she going to do with the guns "

(she would probably answer I would like to talk about retribution etc etc etc

I heard today that the new EU immigrant legislation was passed in The Dail.
It has gone for Presidential approval and this is where it stopped, our lefty liberal fuckwit of a president wants to run it by The Supreme Court first after a meeting of her Council.
The Council she appointed recently made up of like minded lefty head bangers.

Our President, someone who has vast legal experience herself, having consulted with the Counsel of State, is following the Constitution and is referring the proposed legislation to the Supreme Court for them to decide if it complies with the Constitution before she signs off on it.

As well as a handful of nominees chosen from private and public life by the President, The Counsel, that you’d have us believe is a cabal of “lefty headbangers” comprises The Taoiseach, The Tainiste, President of the High Court, The Attorney General, as well as the various exTaoisaigh, Tainiste, Heads of High Court, Attourneys General etc.

She has sent the proposed piece of legislation to the Sipreme Court to confirm that it is Constitutionally compliant, precisely as the Constitution itself lays out as a check and balance on new legislation.

You’ve posted some amount of nonsense over the years Otto, but for you to try pretend the President has unjustly stopped (if its Constitutional then it’s merely delayed) the passage of legislation by appointing “lefty headbangers” is astoundingly stupid even for you.

For you to label anyone, let alone someone like our highly educated and very savvy President, a “lefty liberal f**kwit” shows a lack of self awareness that’s off the charts. 🙄

She is a lefty and thats all about it, her recent appointments to The Council of State :

Fionnuala Ní Aoláin — International law and human rights expert
- Linda Ervine — Irish‑language activist from East Belfast
- Colin Harvey — Professor of Human Rights Law
- Kathleen Lynch — Sociologist and Professor of Equality Studies
- Donncha O’Connell — Professor of Law, University of Galway
- Conor O’Mahony — Professor of Law and former Special Rapporteur on Child Protection
- Ciarán Ó hÓgartaigh — Former President of University of Galway

I think its quite a prudent thing to do on the presidents behalf. She is seeking the advice of the council of state , its up to her then to decide if it should be referred to the supreme court. They would then determine if constitutional or not.
If she signed it into law without those checks its open to challenge and could then lead to referendum and another divisive debate which it certainly would become on immigration
