Ireland assumes EU Presidency at a ceremony at Dublin Castle

Yesterday the rotating Pres of the EU went to Ireland with a very good welcoming of European delegates to Dublin Castle, Pres of the EU Council Acosta was there & so was the guest of honour Zelenskyy of Ukraine, this will be the 8th time Ireland held the Pres & it was during 2004 we held the Pres that the EU had its largest expansion with 10 new members.

It was a good day and the weather held up for the event. Here's hoping for a successful & productive Irish Presidency.

Yep. Barred after staring a fight in the lounge recently.

Apparently someone shouted "Ye bottled it again, Micheal!" after Arsenal's loss in the Champion's League Final.

Martin, on his 5th double vodka/Red Bull (in a pint glass), roared back "I'll show you a bottle job, yeh dirty looking bastard!" and lobbed an empty West Coast Cooler Rosé bottle at the table of lads laughing.

Melee ensued resulting in An Taoiseach having his signed Buyako Saka jersey torn off him, revealing a shoulder tattoo that read "The Iceman".

Eventually the ruck was cleared out and Martin was barred - special dispensation for christenings and wakes subject to a management decision.

Sanctions are about who you deal or don’t deal with - not their geographical position on the globe. South Africa is further away than either but we rightly had sanctions against them.
