I watched Mary Lou on the 6 o'clock news and she is quite definite that SF have never covered up any abuse allegations whatsoever.
I had always rated her, but she has let herself down very badly by trying to protect the SF bad boys.
And here's what Miss Cahill thinks about her:-
Abuse survivor is 'disgusted' by Mary Lou's comments
The young woman, who said Sinn Fein and the IRA covered up her child sex abuse claim, said she is "disgusted" by Mary Lou McDonald's dismissal of her allegations.
The Sinn Fein Deputy leader said there was no evidence of anyone in her party covering up child sex abuse after Mairia Cahill claimed she was silenced when she accused a senior republican figure of sexual assault.
In a BBC Spotlight documentary, Ms Cahill (33) said she was interrogated by an internal IRA inquiry when she alleged a senior member of the organisation repeatedly raped her when she was 16-years-old. She also said she met Mr Adams and discussed her allegations.
Ms Cahill called on Ms McDonald to repeat statements she made - calling for those involved in covering up clerical sex abuse to be brought before the courts - with reference to her own party.
Ms McDonald responded saying anybody involved in covering up sex abuse should face prosecution, even if it was members of her own party.
"It's my position that, irrespective of organisation, if they are guilty of either perpetrating abuse or covering up abuse they must face the full rigours of the law without fear or favour.
"There is nobody within Sinn Fein who has been shown to have covered up child abuse - that is clear," she added.
Ms Cahill said she was "disgusted" by Ms McDonald's comments. "How does Mary Lou know there is no evidence?
"She has said she hasn't even bothered watching the Spotlight programme. I urge Mary Lou to do that."
Ms Cahill also said Mr Adams attended her abuser's wedding but denied he knew the man when they met to discuss her abuse allegations.
"At first he tried to claim he didn't know the alleged abuser and then I reminded him that he did know him and he was invited to his wedding," she said.
"He sat on management committee with him at a community festival," she added.
Mr Adams has confirmed he met Ms Cahill but denied they spoke about her abuse. "The allegation of an IRA investigation was subject to a police investigation and court case," he said.
Ms Cahill said she was raped continuously over the course of a year when she was 16.
She said she was later interrogated by an internal IRA investigation when she made the allegations. She also said she told Mr Adams about the attacks and claims he said abuse victims could be manipulative.
She tried to have the man prosecuted but the trials collapsed and she withdrew her support for the prosecution.
