I would agree with ya there ms wren. Some shocking lyrics on alot of the tracks. One or two nice ones but after a few weeks of trying to get into it I just can't bring myself....

Not sure Interpol are a band suited to arenas. I've only ever seen Interpol in small(ish) venues like the Olympia in Dublin and the Aragon as the headliner and as touring support for Manic Street Preachers. They were absolutely brilliant every time that I saw them.

I watched their set at Coachella a few weeks ago and they were a bit all over the shop - Banks was struggling with the vocals. The fill-in drummer was great though. (Is Sam Fogarino ill?)

Interpol haven't released a truly solid album since their self-titled 4th record - or a truly great record since "Antics". There are a few decent tracks on the following records but a poor return for a band of their quality.

All that being said - I am very tempted to go the London gig on this tour to see if they still have it and especially because Bloc Party are on the bill too - I have never seen them and I really like "Silent Alarm".

Banks still donning those granny glasses? Enjoyed the first album on release. Not a very entertaining band live. Drummer is class though.
