Intermediate A Hurling Championship 2025

Tough on Bandon, thought they at least deserved a draw.
Did Dano Dineen play any game for them all year? Feels a bit wrong coming back for a county final

Danno has been hurling with aghabullogue since he was 10 years old. He teaches in the national school in Aghabullogue.

His body wasn’t right after playing through injury all through CNM all Ireland journey. He needed to cut back on the work load to save the body and gave his commitment to CNM.

Soon as CNM year was over he was back training with Aghabullogue. They’ve no issue with that arrangement from what i can see.

Only saw bits of it. Ref looked very whistle happy for things that could have been left go. The winning free looked really soft
That winning free was a cruel blow for Bandon. That ref Wallace from Aghada must have a hard heart and won't be welcome in Bandon for the rest of time. It wasn't a free in the first place and to hand a county title to any team is wrong. Seriously wrong.

Four times the ref had his arm out for an advantage to bandon but never called it back when no advantage accrued yet he did for aghabullogue.blew Bandon three times for steps when bottled up but aghabullogue managed to break through tackles without taking too many steps?total lack of consistency. Finally the winning “free” heaven help us. Never saw that ref in action before and I hope I see him in action again

One of those incidents in the first half was really poor when he gave Cahalane the advantage but nothing came from it and he didn't bring it back, it was really odd.
Definitely the winning free was a hard call, to be fair even the Aghabullogue players weren't looking for a free so it was one where he could have left play go.
It was a good example of Cork style 'refereeing' where the first instinct is to try find frees as opposed to reasons not to give frees.
