In fairness to KO'F, that would be good and help dispel any unjustified notions (by any side) about immigrants vis-a-vis criminal behaviour. Long overdue I think.

Genuine immigrants who want to make a new life in this country, and live by the laws of the country that has shown them hospitality, will have nothing at all to fear from such legislation. On the contrary, it can serve to show how valuable an addition to society so many of our immigrants can be.

Convictions already do affect visa/residency status.

How do we know though if you are against compiling data as to what crimes are being committed by Irish people rather than immigrants?

10K per deportation? Seems an awful lot, I’d like to se the breakdown of this figure.

Of course there is costs involved with having Garda involved, flights, expenses etc does 10k each seem a lot?
