Immigration Thread

The latest Irish Times article states she went on holidays to Jordan with the Suspect Ahmed Al Saqr.

Ehm if you're claiming asylum from a place youre 'fleeing' how does going back there on your hollibops with the new mot work?
It sums up how unfit for purpose our immigration services are across the board. This thread actually sums up perfectly the issues, nothing wrong with it, look over there.

Currently Irish law protects men and women who are applying for international protection from being identified by the media under S. 26(2) of the Internation Protection Act 2015.

If this Act is being interpreted in such a way as to prevent an Garda Síochána from apprehending a foreign suspect and bringing him to justice, then it must be changed or clarified by the Minister for Justice.

It is simply not good enough that the suspect in the murder of Jamey Carney and named today by the Irish Independent as Ahmad Al-Saqar has fled the jurisdiction and is now in believed to be in Turkey.
Urgent clarification is needed.

So much time has passed now, he's probably no longer in Turkey. If he's skipped across the border into the wild west that is Syria or beyond he'll effectively have disappeared.

Have you statistics on the amount of serious crime in Ireland over the last few years, the numbers of racist attacks, and the number of serious attacks perpetrated by immigrants?

The claims in the IHREC press release are based on an opinion poll and rely heavily on subjective self-reports, perceptions, and a small subsample for key subgroups.

They have limitations in methodology, context, and interpretation—common in advocacy-oriented surveys from bodies like the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission (IHREC).

These are self-reported experiences/perceptions, not verified incidents or objective measures

About as close to 'definitive proof' as Re-Turns claims of doing a great job lol

Besides wasting your entire holiday posting on here m8 you seem to approach vicious murders with a top trumps mindset. Carneys murder and her foreign killers escape is a topic for discussion and you feel compelled to steer it back to racism.

To follow your own flawed arguments how many Irish people were assaulted this week.

Can u at least grasp what a ridiculous position that is.
