From a social perspective it was interesting to see that story unfold.
First off they took the stance that there was nothing inappropriate in the book, then when it became apparent there was the passages involving rimming etc were 'exaggerated'. Then when screenshots were produced it shifted from nothing to see to this was nothing that should be shocking to a 13 year old.

Its amazing what warped stance the smugeratti are prepared to take if its able to be seen as right on or *shudder* 'tolerant'.

Norma Foley didn't bat an eyelid when the graphic material was read out to her at a press conference last week. Right up her street, it seems.
