Immigration Thread

Kicking off in Surrey. (Surry according to WeAreCork lol) BBC says no description of attackers available so we can take a guess who dunnit.

The police claim they dont have "sufficient information", we all know what that means. The UK probably has more surveillance than any other European country. There are cameras all over the area where the nightclub is and at the church where it happened. The claim that they have no information what they look like days after the attack is utter bullshit and we all know why.

Where is he getting the €15 billion?? Unless he is counting homeless accommodation as well?

The spend on IPAS (both state and commercial owned) is just shy of €3.5 billion since 2021 - https://www.oireachtas.ie/en/debates/question/2026-02-10/786/

And he goes on later to say it is going up to €1.5 billion per year, so again where is he getting €15 billion?

I thought it was a typo myself but Nick is usually very thorough and transparent. Still Rizzla, 1.5 billion euro on people who shouldn't be here is ridiculous.

Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt. As I have said multiple times the number of asylum seekers coming here is not big but the amount of money we spend is, firstly because of processing times and secondly because there are few state owned and run facilities.

33,000 asylum seekers in accommodation should be 7,000 or so if processing times were brought down to 6 months, and the spend would also go down once you get over the initial purchase/construction for state run facilities. That €1.5 billion should be €300 million taking the above into account.
