I met an Indian buddy of mine for a coffee earlier who's here years salt of the earth the bloke is and anyway he couldn't believe the.amount of Indians that have shacked up in Cork in the last few months and bought everything shops houses the lot He said we are the laughing stock of Europe.

One thing I will say about Indian folks is at least the pay their own way and support themselves.

Not ideal expanding an already ludicrous housing market with more competition but what can you do if you grant them visas to be here they have every right to buy homes.
Absolutely and they will have reps in government in a few years before they take over long term

Guy I work with is from Bangalore and when he joined he used to make his coffee with 3/4 mug of milk heated in the microwave and a spoon of coffee mixed in... used to drink 3 or 4 cups before lunchtime, in the end I told him bring his own milk... him and his flatmates shopped in Dunnes because one of them had an employee discount, same in McDonald's if they ate out... they all went to the Marina Market to try out the new Indian restaurant and bought 1 main course between them... he gets his hair cut by apprentice barbers... etc... they wouldn't spend Christmas... and for 20e a week back home he said he could live very very comfortably...
