There is deffo something coming down the track that we don't know about and they do.
You'd wonder are they bracing themselves for a huge influx of immigrants across the NI border if the UK goes about implementing these stricter new rules.
Probably or they're looking at polling and the shrinking FFG base. Justice minister is FF and he is also taking a harder line on migration, asylum applications are down this year so there's a bit of positioning by FG so they can take 'credit' or be seen to be taking a tougher line.

It might have something to do with the European Parliament giving more scope to control "irregular" immigration....
